Recently, our staff at AFCNS donated clothes to Lazarus House and The Community Giving Tree to help support their mission of helping those in need. Check out ways you can get involved for a summer community service project too!

Lazarus House Ministries

Since its establishment as an emergency shelter in 1983, Lazarus House Ministries has been dedicated to supporting individuals facing poverty in Lawrence, Massachusetts—one of New England’s most economically challenged cities. Through food and clothing programs, the organization helps families extend their budgets to cover essential expenses like rent and utilities. Additionally, its emergency and transitional housing programs offer homeless individuals and families a safe place to stay, rebuild stability, and work toward a brighter future.

Our mission is to help families in need raise happy, healthy children while creating a more sustainable community by providing recycled clothing, baby equipment, and other basic necessities. Pictured from left to right are: Julie Romano, Lazarus staff member Alexander, and Bonnie Griffith.
